En Suède, fin des années 50. Britt Larsson, jeune femme, ouvrière d’usine, fait la connaissance de Björn, d’origine bourgeoise, cultivé mais compliqué, qui disparaît aussitôt . Elle rencontre ensuite Robban, jeune guitariste et chanteur, brouillon mais touchant, dont elle tombe enceinte. Elle décide de garder l’enfant. Ils partagent un appartement, mais le couple ne tient pas le choc. Elle emménage seule, mais Bjorn réapparaît par le plus grand des hasards…Film phare de la nouvelle vague suédoise. Sweden, End of the 50's. This film is about an eighteen year old working class girl, Britt Larsson, who meets two boys her own age and her life as she becomes more independent. The film shows Sweden as calm and innocent place in between old and new life styles. This is now long gone. It's a great way to see how life in big Swedish city could be like in the early sixties.
